Are you happy?

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

I know I have been posting mostly How To articles to get things going for you and kick start some action.  But I wanted to shift gears a little bit because your mindset and state of being are just as important for your business and/or career than any tool or skill out there.

The question is broad, simple and of mammoth importance: Are you happy?

I love this quote because I think it embodies the general concept of how I feel about life:

[blockQuote position=”center”]We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience [/blockQuote]

I consider this to be very true.  And I also believe with all my heart that as part of your experience in life you were meant to feel good all the time! Really Really good! You are meant to feel amazing 100% of the time! Yet, we’re willing to compromise our happiness way too often.

Let me ask you something? When was the last time you asked yourself: Where am I going in life? What do I want? Am I happy?

Sometimes we don’t even stop to think and ask those questions because we’re afraid the answers won’t be pretty.  And then we’ll have to do something about it.  So, let’s not rock the boat.  Let’s just keep living this unfulfilled life, full of contentment and lack of passion.

Now, don’t get me wrong.  I understand we all have our ups and downs; we are, after all part of nature and nature is known to have its cycles.  Some times of the month the moon is bright and shiny, and some other times it’s shying away from us and dull. We have Winter and we have Spring.  And we need all of it to find harmony in the system as a whole. We need the downs to gather our forces to spring back up. I get it!

But your overall state of mind and in the most inner core of your being, you are meant to feel wonderful about your life!

So, take the time today and do some inner searching.  Ask yourself these questions:

  • Am I going in the right direction?
  • What am I tolerating?
  • Am I happy with my life as a whole? If not, what’s missing? What am I willing to do to change it?

You’ll be surprised at the things that will come up.  But most importantly, this is it amiga! This is not a dressed rehearsal! This is your life we’re talking about!
